The Acer RE100 is a SATA SSD line designed for upgrading older and mainstream systems, covering two form factors: 2.5-inch SATA III drives and M.2 2280 SATA III models. The Acer RE100 can be used in laptops and desktop PCs with a traditional 2.5-inch bay as well as in compact systems equipped with SATA M.2. Built on 3D NAND, the Acer RE100 series supports TRIM, S.M.A.R.T., ECC, wear leveling, and proprietary firmware for backup and maintenance, making it ideal for everyday use with an emphasis on compatibility and straightforward storage expansion. The 2.5-inch lineup of the Acer RE100 is available in capacities from 128 GB to 4 TB, while the M.2 SATA version ranges from 128 GB to 1 TB. Maximum sequential speeds across the series reach approximately 560 MB/s read and up to 529 MB/s write for 2.5-inch models, while the M.2 variants deliver speeds up to 560/520 MB/s depending on capacity. The Acer RE100 series is well suited for accelerating system boot times, office applications, web browsers, casual gaming, and multimedia tasks when a SATA upgrade is needed without transitioning to NVMe.
