Lexar NM790 is a line of internal M.2 2280 SSDs for gaming PCs, laptops, workstations, and PlayStation 5, delivering high-speed loading for games, applications, projects, and large files. The series operates through the PCIe Gen4 x4 NVMe interface and comes in capacities of 512 GB, 1 TB, 2 TB, 4 TB, and 8 TB. Lexar NM790 uses Host Memory Buffer 3.0 and Dynamic SLC Caching, leveraging system memory and caching to maintain performance without dedicated DRAM cache on the drive itself. Maximum speeds vary by capacity: the 1–4 TB versions reach up to 7400 MB/s read and up to 6500 MB/s write, the 512 GB model operates at up to 7200/4400 MB/s, and the 8 TB variant delivers up to 7000/6200 MB/s.
