The enclosure is crafted from forged aluminum, which functions as a heatsink and helps maintain stable speeds under sustained workloads. The external design is oriented toward mobile use: it features IP65 protection against dust and water, as well as resistance to drops from heights up to 3 meters. For additional data security, SanDisk Extreme PRO V2 supports password protection with 256-bit AES hardware encryption, compatible with Windows 8/10 and macOS 10.9 and later versions.
