The Transcend MTS425S is a compact internal SATA SSD line in M.2 2242 form factor, designed for ultrabooks, thin laptops, mini PCs, and embedded systems where a standard 2.5-inch drive or longer M.2 2280 module won't fit due to space constraints. The series uses a SATA III interface with 6 Gbps bandwidth, 3D NAND technology, and is available in capacities of 250 GB, 500 GB, 1 TB, and 2 TB. All models share the same compact dimensions of 42.0 × 22.0 × 3.58 mm and weigh approximately 5 grams, making this line ideal for thin devices with short M.2 2242 slots. Read and write speeds vary by capacity: the 250 GB model delivers up to 500/330 MB/s, the 500 GB model up to 530/480 MB/s, and both the 1 TB and 2 TB models up to 550/500 MB/s respectively.
