The ASUS PRIME B650-PLUS supports Socket AM5 processors based on the AMD B650 chipset. The board features an ATX form factor with dimensions of 305×244 mm and is equipped with heatsinks on the chipset and VRM area. You can install up to 128 GB of DDR5 memory with frequencies of 6400+ MHz across four DIMM slots. For connecting graphics cards and other devices, there are two PCI Express x16 slots (one operating in x16 mode, the other in x4 mode) and two PCI Express x1 slots. Storage devices connect via two M.2 slots—one with PCI-E 5.0 x4 interface and one with PCI-E 4.0 x4 interface—as well as four SATA Revision 3.0 ports. The board includes a 2.5GbE network adapter and an audio system based on the Realtek codec with support for 7.1-channel sound.
